I Caved......

Well.....guess what?

I caved. Big Surprise. I've purchased so much fabric this month, it's almost like I did the exact opposite of what I said I was going to do. That might say something about how I live my life. Anyway I've purchased some really great fabrics this month. First I went with Amber to Indy and bought some great fabrics and JoAnn's and Hancock....I wish we had Hancock Fabric in L-Town. Then I went to JoAnn's in Lafayette, and they had everything on clearance......I love clearance! I had to buy it! It was a good deal! Then I went to Ikea...and who doesn't love Ikea fabric????? It's so fun! And cheap! Then yesterday I went to JoAnn.....and the new Project Runway fabric is out! It's like they made it just for me. It's aqua with pictures of thread spools all over it. I LOVE IT!!!! Anyway.....now you all know how weak I am. Good day.

I have given up buying fabric for the month of March!
I can only buy fabric if it is for a specific ORDER!

So on Monday night I was driving down Main Street, and I noticed that Annecy's gift shop was GONE! What? They just had signs on the door saying they were making room for spring merchandise! Oh no! This is bad. Annecey's was in THE retail spot on the block. Prime location! What will be there now? A big empty space? I was so happy when they moved in, and filled up the empty space that Silver in the City left behind. Dang it! I just want all of the local businesses to succeed! Of course I contemplated moving Blue Monday down to that amazing spot.....but we can't afford what we have now, so don't be moving to something bigger...right? Also I noticed that the Green Door is closing! Man, this is bad. I was just starting to look forward to summer, the mosey's, the gallery walks, all the street festivals.....Please someone move into these open spaces! Please locals...shop downtown! Eat downtown! support local business!
